The Glomma River from Vamma to Furuholmen runs through an agricultural landscape with steep forested slopes along its shore. In some places there are steep cliffs, especially to the north near Vamma Power Station.
Fishing along this nearly 18 km long river stretch is very varied. In the first kilometre the current is strong, but starting at Grønnsund the southern part is wide and flows slowly. This lower section seems more like a lake than a river.

Fishing for chubb is known on this stretch with fish exceeding 3 kg caught every year. You will get more detailed information about fishing sites and methods when you have booked.
