About the fishing
There is a large stock of pike, perch, ruffe and various carp. From the salmon family there are brown trout, smelt, grayling and lavaret. The main fishing goals are perch, pike, grayling and trout. NOTE! All traffic immediately below the power station is forbidden – it is very dangerous. You will get more detailed information about fishing methods and sites when you have booked.

Boat ramp
There are Boat ramps at Årnes, Vormsund and Rånåfoss. You will get the coordinates when you have booked.
Fishing regulation
The most important rules are: • All trout shorter than 30 cm and all grayling shorter than 35 cm are to be released into the river. • It is forbidden to use live bait. • Do not use fish from another water as bait. • Fishing is forbidden in an area 65 m downstream of the Svanfoss dam. • The limits of the closed zones are marked from the point of the spit on the east side of Vorma, over the river to a point 65 m below the dam on the west side of the river.
Fishing permit
There is no fee for youths under 16 years. The fishing licence can be bought at, various outlets such as fishing shops or via SMS. More information at slipways or actual fishing sites. Day – 50 NOK; week – 150 NOK; year – 300 NOK.
