Lake Mjermen is a tributary water of the Haldenvassdraget waterway system located in a forested area. It’s somewhat more acid that the main waterway and has a low nutrition level, a condition balanced by a strong recreation value for sports fishing.
Lake Mjermen is a clear-water lake with many coves and islands located 165 metres above sea level. There are a large number of excellent fishing sites available to our fishing guests. Yet fishing activity here is relatively low, enabling you to find just your fishing hole.
Some 15 fish species have been found in the lake. The most common are perch, ruffe, pike, and carp fishes, such as roach. There is a smaller number of burbot, vendace, smelt and river lamprey. Perch and pike are most interesting for the sports fishermen and good catches can be expected for both. You will get more detailed information about fishing sites and methods when you have booked.
All year, though with variations depending on species. You will get more detailed information about seasonal variations when you have booked.
Pike around 10 kg and perch around 1 kg are caught every year.
There is a boat ramp in Halsnes.
