Lake Setten is located in the Aurskog-Høland Municipality, one of the largest forestry municipalities in Akershus County. It is a tributary water in the Haldenvassdraget waterway system lying in a forested area.
Surrounded by mainly coniferous forests, Lake Setten is a clear-water lake located 167 metres above sea level. It’s somewhat more acid that the main waterway and has a low nutrition level, a condition balanced by a strong recreation value for sports fishing.
Some 15 fish species have been found in the lake. The most common are perch, pike, ruffe and carp fishes, such as roach, common minnow, silver bream and bleak. There is a smaller number of burbot, vendace and smelt. Perch and pike are most interesting for the sports fishermen as large individuals can be caught every year.
All year, though with variations depending on species. You will get more detailed information about seasonal variations when you have booked.
Pike around 10 kg are caught every year.
There are boat ramps regularly open to the public.
The fishing licence is valid for several waters. Any exceptions are listed at www.inatur.no. Day – 50 NOK; week – 125 NOK; year – 300 NOK.
