Lake Øyeren empties at Mørkfoss falls where the Glomma River runs down towards the Solbergfoss power station. The river’s run through the lake is even with some small and large coves.

  • About the fishing
    The lake offers excellent fishing for grayling, perch and pike. You can also catch trout in the area in the tight section from Mørkfoss and downstream. There are many pike, burbot and perch in the long Lierevja cove.

    All year with some variations depending on species. You will get more detailed information about seasonal differences when you have booked.

  • Fishing regulation
    You must bring your fishing licence with you and show it on request. C&R rules cover all pike that will not be eaten on site, all over 80 cm and more than 2 pike per day. Live bait is not allowed in the lake. Minimum size below which the fish must be released: trout and grayling – 35 cm; ruffe – 42 cm; asp – 30 cm.
  • Fishing permit
    There is no fee for youths under 16 years. The fishing licence can be bought at www.inatur.no, various outlets such as fishing shops or via SMS. More information at slipways or actual fishing sites. Day – 50 NOK; week – 150 NOK; year – 300 NOK; cabin/boat card – 400 NOK.
